OUR STORY —
The Story
Behind the Door.
How Yielded Living came to be.
Yielded Living started as a whisper. A quiet nudge that wouldn't let go. For Janice Anoka, the idea wasn't born in a boardroom or a branding session — it was born in a season of loss, where surrender was the only path forward.
The name itself came from that place. Yielded. Not defeated. Not passive. But fully given over — hands open, heart forward, stepping through a door you're not sure you're ready for.
Isaiah 61 became the anchor — a passage about restoration, about God giving back what grief had taken, about navigating loss and writing a new chapter. It became the heartbeat of everything Yielded Living would grow into.
"It's not about being instantly transformed. It's about entering the journey."
The products, the community, the content — all of it exists as an open door. A warm table. A place where an everyday woman can come, screenshot a verse, share with a friend, come back tomorrow. A resource that stays with you.
From scripture games to the 100 Days journal, from keepsake cards to community events — Yielded Living is designed to be a home you keep coming back to. Not because it's perfect. Because it's real. Because it's yours.
The door is open. Come in.

Janice Anoka.
"She builds with both hands — and holds it all with open palms."
Her Story
Yielded Living was born from Janice's own journey — navigating grief, loss, and the unexpected. Through the lens of Isaiah 61, she discovered what it means to let go and let God restore what was taken.
As a woman who has lived the tension between outburst and surrender, Janice created this space as an open door — an invitation for every everyday woman to come, rest, and begin entering the journey.
Yielded Living isn't about having it all together. It's about being willing to step forward — even when hesitant, even when uncertain — and finding warmth, community, and transformation on the other side.
